Stu is a kind hearted man, and a bit innocent and dumb at times. Previously, he used to be extremely timid with low self esteem, although through time he has gained confidence through the success of his band. Overall, he's a happy person occasionally suffering from downfalls in mood which he quickly gets over. His love for music is unmatched, and his love for people who are appreciative of music as well is even greater. Although he gives off innocent vibes he should be played with carefully, he does have multiple kids after all.

Phases 1-3's stories are practically the same, with the exception that Stu was able to reprogram and fix Cyborg Noodle's aggressive behavior, leading her to become a member of the Gorillaz family. He was also cloned by Murdoc in the trials of his cyborg cloning experiments, cyborg stu ending a failure and a malfunctioning cyborg who now roams freely.
